Time For Metal/ SpikeReaper:
First off all: congratulations on the selling out of your CD. You have to be really proud! What was your reaction when you heard those news?

Voodoo Highway:
Hi Guys!! It’s a pleasure to answer to your interview! Well… about the sold out we are truly happy as you can guess! Especially our bank account is quite happy at the moment… ahaha! Anyway, jokes a part, we are really proud and surprised to have sold out in just two months all of the copies, especially because the debut album is a self-produced one… we’ll see in the future, hoping to receive a good deal for its distribution… at the moment we can only say we are in frenzy!
Time For Metal / SpikeReaper:
Another pressing is planned. Do you use the time to start working on your next record?

Voodoo Highway:
Yes, we are going to print another edition with, maybe, some extras in it… at the moment we are heavily composing the new LP… I can just tell you we have circa four new songs ready! We suppose we‘ re going to record it around the first months of 2012…

Time For Metal/ SpikeReaper:
You’re a major force in Italian metal. With your new album you managed to get a foot-hold in other important “metal countries”. What are your next plans? Maybe some confirmed live gigs?

Voodoo Highway:
Well… actually we are new comers.. as you know the band is born around one year ago, in 2010, and we have not such important planning at the moment a part the second LP… anyway it’s possible that Voodoo Highway will kick several asses in Europe one day soon… can’t tell no more at the moment! Hope to visit you as soon anyway!

Time For Metal / SpikeReaper:
How did you get your record deal? The old-fashioned way by sending a demo to the label?

Voodoo Highway:
Ehmmm… actually Voodoo Highway is a totally independent band, as our first LP is totally self produced! No record deal at the moment… but it’s ok! Have a sold out of the first edition in two months often it doesn‘ t even happen when you‘ re signed to a „bad label“… and I can assure you the first printing was quite a „huge printing“… The one we MUST thank for all is our Manager Axel Wiesenauer at Rock n‘ Growl.. he’s the man behind the success at the moment!! We’ve received some proposals in the past, but we prefer not to sign with bad labels or similar.. let’s see if someone will be interested in the future! Actually I can say that Voodoo Highway would be a good affair, looking at the present situation… eheheh!!

Time For Metal / SpikeReaper:
Social communities are an important factor in everyday life. How active are you on Facebook, MySpace, etc.?

Voodoo Highway:
Actually I can tell you that I’d rather prefer to be raped by an elephant than tryin‘ to navigate on Myspace (such a pity… 3 or 4 years ago it was a really amazing website..) …we use to be quite active on Facebook and Reverbnation, but I think Facebook is better for have some free watching to nasty pussies. Eheh!
Time For Metal / SpikeReaper:
Here’s a question I ask every band: What’s your favourite beverage?

Voodoo Highway:
Ahahah! My all time fav beverage is Ananas Juice, also for his helping in making „a real important beverage for women“ sweet… anyway in the band we have a great passion for an Italian tea called „Estathè“… love it! …and yes, general booze is always welcome!

Time For Metal / SpikeReaper:
How did you start your band? Did you just meet up some day and decided: “Hey, let’s start a metal band!”?

Voodoo Highway:
Something like this… We started playing together as we were get bored by the foggy winter nights of our hometown, so we had some jams and when we noticed that the band had something to say we decided to bring it on… we never took the thing too seriously to be honest, we only want to have fun and make a hell on stage, having fun with people, going after girls, drinking… that‘ s why we play together! ahaha!
Time For Metal / SpikeReaper:
In my review I compared your music to Black Sabbath. Are they one of your influences? What other bands influenced you?

Voodoo Highway:
Sure! Black Sabbath are a main influence of the band, but to be honest our main inspirations are Deep Purple and Rainbow… but we also love Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep and more eighties stuff such as Skid Row, Whitesnake… all the good stuff is welcome!
Time For Metal / SpikeReaper
If you could chose a band to perform with, which one would it be?

Voodoo Highway:
Surely Deep Purple!!
Time For Metal / SpikeReaper:
What are your plans for the next years?

Voodoo Highway:
As so many people think that the next will also be the last year for humanity, we just want to make the new LP, release it at least some months before the end of the World, become extremely rich and famous, enstablish a new religion and be saved by some UFO and travel to their Planet where we’ll finally meet Elvis Presley!

Time For Metal / SpikeReaper:
Is there anything you want to tell our readers?

Voodoo Highway:
First of all, thanks for reading! Hope you don’t think we are only a bounce of idiots from Italy… in the case you‘ re thinking it, well… you‘ re right! But we hope people will not notice it so soon! Hope you had or that you’ll have the chance to listen to our music, as it comes from the hearts of five young cool dudes that just want to make some true rock n‘ roll and make people happy with it! In the end… please, always enjoy your life, that’s why music exists! Have fun, make love (please, not with our girlfriends!!) and listen to rock n‘ roll!! Love you all! 🙂

Time For Metal / SpikeReaper:
Thank you for your time, good luck and all the best to you!

Voodoo Highway:
Thanks to you guys!! Thanks for the chance, for the review and for keeping the flame of rock n‘ roll alive with your work! You rock!!
