Die amerikanische Black-Metal-Band Abigail Williams hat mit den Aufnahmen zu ihrem siebten Studioalbum begonnen, dem Nachfolger von A Void Within Existence (2025).
Die Band kommentiert: „Recording has begun on our 7th full-length album. Drums are done, once again handled by Mike Heller, and the rest of the work is now underway at Ken’s home studio. We began before our European tour, which was a great success, and after a couple of weeks to recover, the work has resumed in earnest. Thanks to Fortress Fest UK and Zappenduster for having us, and to our support bands in Ireland and Shagor across mainland Europe. No shortcuts are being taken; the goal is to match the intensity of our last two albums, and push it further. Another update will follow once recording is complete and we move into mixing. Release is set for early next year.“
Ihr letztes Album A Void Within Existence erschien 2025 und wurde von der Kritik gefeiert. Produziert von Frontmann Ken Sorceron und abgemischt vom renommierten Tontechniker Dave Otero (Aborted, Akhlys), ist das Album ein verzehrendes Werk voller Black-Metal-Transzendenz: erschütternd, cineastisch und absolut kompromisslos.
Abigail Williams sind Ken Sorceron (ex-Aborted, ex-The Faceless, Vale Of Pnath, Nachtmystium) an Gesang und Gitarre, Vance Valenzuela (Vale Of Pnath) an der Gitarre, John Porada (ex-Nachtmystium, ex-Wolvhammer) am Bass und Mike Heller (Fear Factory, Malignancy) am Schlagzeug. Unter der Führung von Sorceron baut die Band ihren einzigartigen, intensiven Sound weiter aus – einen Stil, der über sechs Studioalben hinweg geformt wurde und im Black Metal wurzelt, ergänzt durch Elemente aus Death Metal und Symphonic Metal.
