Time For Metal / Rene W.:
Hello Iron Lamb,
Your are from Sweden, Stockholm. Besides that your are from Stockholm, it is also worth knowing that your latest record is your second record after The Original Sin from 2011. How did you guys meet and what influenced you music?
Iron Lamb:
Hi Rene!
Time For Metal / Rene W.:
The Original Sin was well estimated not only in our editorial office. Would you have guessed that The Original Sin would hit like a bomb? Did the feedback of The Original Sin influence the production of Fool´s Gold`?
Iron Lamb:
Í´m not sure it hit like a bomb really, but I appreciate your words and that people around seemed to like the album. I can´t say that we got influenced by any feedback, it´s more that we´re moving towards the sound we wanted in the first place but didn´t quite know how to get. I´m still very proud of The Original Sin, but I do think that Fool´s Gold is how Iron Lamb intended to sound in the first place.
Time For Metal / Rene W.:
A goat on your covers seems to be a recurrent theme, although this time a pretty crazy one with an unsheathed tongue and a crown on its head. Where is the connection to your music?
Iron Lamb:
It´s a lamb!! Ha ha.. Goats are all great but not what we do. They look neat, don´t they?
Time For Metal / Rene W.:
What can you say on a personal level about the ten songs on the record. Is it all just Rock´n Roll, Punk and Metal or is there more behind the music?
Iron Lamb:
One Way Track – A great album opener. A very no frills no bullshit straight forward rocker. One of my personal faves on the album. Ekeroth wrote most of this song.
Time For Metal / Rene W.:
You changed your leadsinger and D Bargman took over from Grga Lindström. What led to the decision to count on D Bargman and how difficult was the change?
Iron Lamb:
Grga decided to quit in late 2012. We tried a few other vocalists, but it wasn´t until we tried Bragge that we really felt we had found the perfect vocalist. Bragge played together with Ekeroth in Tyrant a few years ago, so they already knew each other very well. The change wasn´t difficult at all, but he was a bit hesitant towards his ability to sing this type of music since he only did more extreme stuff before, but after we recorded the Backstabbers 7“ session, he knew it was all good. We couldn´t be more satisfied, and he melts in perfectly in our slightly mentally deranged band.
Time For Metal / Rene W.:
Can the fans expect so hear D. Bargman sing some of the old songs or is the focus straight on Fool´s Gold?
Iron Lamb:
Bragge did shows with us for almost two years now, so he has sung most of the old songs already, and we will continue to play some of them, but obviously focus will lie on the new album for the upcoming shows.
Time For Metal / Rene W.:
What about performing live on stage? Can we expect you to see you in Germany?
Iron Lamb:
Well we haven´t played in germany since Party San Festival in 2012, so it´s about time, that´s for sure!! At the moment we only have a few shows in Sweden booked, but hopefully we will get down to germany to play this summer. Anyone interested in booking us, just shoot a mail to ironlamb@hotmail.com and we´ll work something out! Germany rules for hard rock music.
Time For Metal / Rene W.:
What are your New Year´s resolutions for 2015? What goals are there to achieve with your band?
Iron Lamb:
To get this record out, and do our very best to promote it and play live as much as possible. We have already started to write material for the next album also, this time it shouldn´t take almost four years to get it out, but then again, you never know..
Time For Metal / Rene W.:
Thank you for the interview and good luck for the future. Any final words to your fans in Germany?
Iron Lamb:
Thank you René, for the interview and for your support! Prost, see you on the road!
