Anthrax haben am 7. August ihre neueste Single Everybody’s Got A Plan samt Video veröffentlicht. Der Song stammt aus ihrem lang erwarteten zwölften Studioalbum Cursum Perficio, das am 18. September über Nuclear Blast Records und Megaforce Records (Nordamerika) erscheint.
Das neue Video entstand größtenteils am 7. Juli in Lissabon (Portugal), als Hard-Rock-Titanen aus New York – Scott Ian (Gitarre), Charlie Benante (Schlagzeug), Frank Bello (Bass), Joey Belladonna (Gesang) und Jonathan Donais (Gitarre) – gemeinsam mit Iron Maiden durch Europa tourten. Es zeigt Live-Aufnahmen und spaßige Backstage-Momente, ergänzt durch klassische Schwarz-Weiß-Boxaufnahmen, die die zentrale Textzeile des Songs unterstreichen: „Everybody’s got a plan / That’s until they get punched in the face…“

„Everybody’s Got A Plan has always been one of my favorite songs on Cursum Perficio“, sagt Benante. „The video basically shows the band on and off stage in a montage of video clips that kinda matches the velocity of the song. ‘Everybody’s got a plan/That’s until they get punched in the face’ is such a great line, and so true!“
„Most of this video was shot opening for [Iron] Maiden in Lisbon, Portugal at Estádio da Lu on July 7, 2026”, merkt Ian an. “We wanted to capture us having fun on tour and what better way to do that? That was a plan that didn’t end up with a punch in the face! Have fun watching my friends!“
Bello fügt hinzu: „This video is a great representation of a day in the life of Anthrax on tour.“
