Die französische Doom-Metal-Band Carcolh hat ein neues Musikvideo zu For Every Second… veröffentlicht, einem Song aus ihrem 2025er Album Twilight Of The Mortals, das über Sleeping Church Records erschienen ist.
Das Video kombiniert Live-Aufnahmen vom Auftritt der Band bei der Seisach Metal Night VI mit Bildmaterial aus Jean Epsteins Kurzfilm The Storm Divide. Die thematischen Elemente und die Bildsprache des Films wurden von der Band aufgrund ihrer Verbindung zur Atmosphäre und zum Text des Songs ausgewählt. Seht euch das Video hier an:
Mit der Veröffentlichung des Videos zu For Every Second… bieten Carcolh eine neue Perspektive auf einen zentralen Song ihres neuesten Albums.
Die Band erklärt: „We had the chance to get the video captation of our show at Seisach Metal Night VI and we made a clip for our track For Every Second… Extracted from our last album, Twilight Of The Mortals, released in 2025 through Sleeping Church Records. The film images are taken from a short film by Jean Epstein, The Storm Divide, which I discovered thanks to the Tumatxa podcast by Peio Cachenaut, and whose magical themes and magnificent shots of raging sea perfectly convey the atmosphere and the lyrics of the track.“
Carcolh, die aus Bordeaux/Herbignac in Frankreich stammen, entstanden 2016 aus der Asche von Marble Chariot. Mit einer Besetzung aus erfahrenen Musikern, darunter Mitglieder renommierter Bands wie Oyabun, Hexenjäger und Dead Toys, haben sich Carcolh einen festen Platz in der Doom-Metal-Szene erobert.
Die Band präsentierte ihren Stil auf ihrem Debütalbum Rising Sons Of Saturn (2018) und verfeinerte ihn auf The Life And Works Of Death (2021). Ihr aktuelles Album Twilight Of The Mortals, aufgenommen und gemischt von Raph Henry im Heldskalla Studio und gemastert im Drudenhaus Studio, setzt diese Entwicklung fort und legt dabei Wert auf ausdrucksstarkes Songwriting und einen konsistenten, stimmigen Sound.
