Seit ihrer Gründung haben Gates To Hell aus Louisville die besten Elemente aus Metal und Hardcore miteinander verschmolzen, wobei sie schnelle Metal-Riffs mit schweren Hardcore- und Deathcore-Breakdowns auf eine Art und Weise kombiniert haben, die in der Musikszene von Kentucky bisher unerforscht war. Im letzten Jahr hat die Band fast 150 Shows in 11 verschiedenen Ländern gespielt und dabei Bands wie Dying Fetus, The Black Dahila Murder, The Acacia Strain, Despised Icon, Sanguisugabogg, Bodysnatcher, Kruelty und Dying Wish auf verschiedenen Touren durch die USA, Kanada und Europa unterstützt.
Die Band setzt diesen Impuls fort, ohne Anzeichen einer Verlangsamung, und läutet das Jahr 2024 mit einem neuen Zuhause bei Nuclear Blast Records, einer neuen Single und einer Tournee mit den Labelkollegen Machine Head und Fear Factory ein.
Seth Lewis, Gitarrist von Gates To Hell, erklärt:
“I was a kid who loved metal from a very young age and I was constantly buying CDs of my favorite bands. Over time, I saw how many of those bands‘ CDs had the Nuclear Blast logo on the back. It’s a very unreal feeling to be working with them now with Gates To Hell. Very excited for what the future holds.”

Der Song ist ein perfektes Beispiel für ihren hybriden Sound, der modernen Death Metal mit dem Geist des Hardcore verbindet. Der Song wurde von Andy Nelson in den Bricktop Studios produziert und gemischt, während das Mastering von Brad Boatwright bei Audioseige Mastering durchgeführt wurde.

After touring and practicing as much as we have the last couple of years, we’ve all really meshed together so much better as musicians. Gates To Hell gehen zusammen mit den Bay Area-Ikonen und Label-Kollegen Machine Head auf ihre Slaughter The Martøur Nørth America 2024 Tour mit Fear Factory und Orbit Culture. Die Tournee beginnt am 19. Januar in San Francisco und führt durch den pazifischen Nordwesten, gefolgt von acht Shows in Kanada. Weitere Stationen sind Chicago, Orlando und Houston, bevor sie am 24. Februar in Los Angeles im Bellwether endet.
