Lonely Robot, das neueste Projekt von Produzenten-Gitarristen-Gesangs-Mastermind John Mitchell (It Bites, Frost*, Arena), haben ihr Debütalbum ‚Please Come Home‚ für den 20. Februar 2015 angekündigt und nun ein erstes Teaser-Video ins Netz gestellt, das man sich hier ansehen kann:

Unterstützt wird Mitchell dabei vom Rhythmus-Monster Nick Beggs am Bass und von Craig Blundell am Schlagzeug. Das Album beinhaltet auch einige Gastauftritte, unter anderem von Peter Cox (Go West), Nick Kershaw, Steve Hogarth (Marillion), Heather Findlay, Kim Seviour (Touchstone), Jem Godfrey (Frost*) und als Erzähler fungiert der englische Schauspieler Lee Ingleby (Master & Commander, Harry Potter).
John Mitchell beschreibt das Projekt mit folgenden Worten:
“I’d long thought about doing an album where I could have total control from start to finish with the music, lyrics, production, and choosing who I wanted to contribute – expanding from the idea of just a solo album. Musically, this album is very proggy, but more about atmosphere than technical expertise, inspired by my love of science fiction and interest in the evolution of the human race.”
