Das neue Album der italienischen Black/Doom Band FORGOTTEN TOMB steht in den Startlöchern: „Hurt Yourself and The Ones You Love“ wird am 17. April 2015 über Agonia Records veröffentllicht.
Aufgenommen und gemischt wurde der achte Longplayer der Band von Terje Refsnes (Carpathian Forest, Novembre, Gehenna, Destroyer 666) in den Sound Suite Studios (Marseille, Frankreich). Um das Mastering kümmerte sich Brad Boatright im Audiosiege Studio (Portland, Oregon, USA), bekannt durch seine Arbeiten für u.a Corrosion Of Conformity, Nails, Vallenfyre, Beastmilk, High On Fire.
Bandkopf Ferdinando „Herr Morbid“ Marchisio beschreibt das Album als eine Mischung aus Melancholie, Groove und purer Bösartigkeit. Statement: „We kept the sound very organic and natural, kinda old-fashioned but still very fresh. The new songs are heavy as fuck and they feature our classic trademark plus some new elements. I can’t wait for people to listen to it, ‚cause it’s a really special album for us and probably the most extreme we did in quite a while, both musically and conceptually.“ Zur erstmaligen Arbeit mit Produzent Terje Refsnes sagt er: „We worked really hard, like never before. Terje Refsnes is a really experienced producer and he managed to get the best out of us. We are extremely proud of how this new album came out“.
