Monomyth sind zurück und komplettieren mit ihrem neuen Album „Exo“ ihre Trilogie. Die niederländische instrumental Band die gekonnt Stoner Rock mit Drone und Krautrock mischt, startete ihre Reise 2013 mit ihrem Debut „Monomyth“.
Selbst produziert und aufgenommen wurden Grenzen ausgelotet und Möglichkeiten ausgetestet, die dann auf dem Nachfolger „Further“ (2014) verfeinert wurden. Vom Space Rock in den Krautrock, vom Psychedelic zum IDM. Monomyth kommen an und entwickeln sich gleichzeitig weiter.
Mit Hilfe von Produzent Pieter Kloos, wurde ihr drittes Werk „Exo“ fertiggestellt. Zum Krautrock und Progrock gesellen sich nun Soul, Dance und Hard Rock Einflüsse. Pink Floyd, Hawkwind und Tool lassen grüßen und besonders ihre Live Shows überzeugen und lassen in keinem Moment den Gesang vermissen. Das sagt das Label: All the ingredients of rock & roll are present in the Monomyth sound, but in a totally unique way. The band wants to draw their audience into a trance, caused by shifting patterns, repetitions and drones. The result is a stirring brew with links to Pink Floyd, Hawkwind and Tool, but with the innovative force of modern techno and ambient. Monomyth plays rock you can dance to and lose yourself in. The journey and the adventure are always centre stage. With their expressive sound, the music by this collective would not be out of place in a psychedelic road movie.
