Sabïre entstand Ende 2010 aus der Idee heraus, eine Band zu gründen, die einfach das spielt, was Scarlett Monastyrski auf der Gitarre ganz natürlich aus sich herausfließen lässt – ohne sich auf ein bestimmtes Genre oder eine feste Kategorie festzulegen. Es geht schlicht um die Musik in ihrer natürlichsten Form. Kurz darauf entwickelte sich das Konzept weiter: Der Sound sollte nun von einer aufwendigen Show und einer unverwechselbaren Ästhetik begleitet werden. Die bissige, scharfe Klangproduktion in Kombination mit sehr persönlichen Texten führte dazu, dass die Band einen eigenen Begriff für ihren Stil prägte: Acid Metal.
Nach ihrem viel gefeierten Debütalbum Jätt (2024) arbeiten Sabïre derzeit an einem neuen Album, das 2027 unter dem Titel You Are All You’ll Ever Need erscheinen soll.
Bandleaderin Scarlett Monastyrski kommentiert: „This album came to me all at once sometime in the autumn months of 2024, and I worked tirelessly on it during the winter of 2025, but then life took its many, many turns and I just focused on other places. Turns out the reasons I became so distracted were what spurred on the birth of this album in the first place. This album in its essence is a real ‚garage album.‘ Just playing the bloody songs and not making a fuss about any of it. I even went and recorded with equipment from the 60’s to really keep in line with the garage vision. The tracks themselves were written as early as 2011 and as late as 2025, with some spillover to 2026. It’s meant to be a personal empowerment record for myself and really just to send the message to all the listeners out there that truly, You Are All You’ll Ever Need. Don’t ever forget it, Wild Ones.“

Das Cover-Artwork mit dem Titel The Sculptor wurde 2008 von Scarlett Monastyrskis Mutter geschaffen. Das gerahmte Original begleitet ihn, seit er aus Kanada ausgewandert ist, und zählt seither zu seinen liebsten Kunstwerken. Das Bild spiegelt den Albumtitel You Are All You’ll Ever Need wider und dient als Erinnerung daran, dass wir selbst die Schöpfer unserer eigenen Realität sind.
