Nach ihrem gefeierten Debütalbum Bionic Swarm aus dem Jahr 2021 loten die niederländischen Progressive Death/Thrash-Metaller Cryptosis mit ihrer neuen digitalen EP The Silent Call, die am 1. Dezember 2023 erscheint, die Grenzen ihres Stils weiter aus.

Neben dem brandneuen Song, der als Titeltrack dieser Veröffentlichung dient, enthält die EP den bisher unveröffentlichten Song Master Of Life (aus den Albumsessions von 2021) sowie Live-Versionen der Albumsongs Prospect Of Immortality und Transcendence, die im November 2022 in Athen, Griechenland, während Cryptosis‘ letzter Europatour aufgenommen wurden.
Cryptosis kommentieren zur Single: “The Silent Call is a thought-provoking glimpse into a world where the lines between reality and artificial control blur, leaving individuals feeling lost and insignificant in the midst of sprawling, concrete jungles we call cities. The Silent Call dient nicht nur als neues Lebenszeichen von Cryptosis, sondern auch als erster Warnschuss in Erwartung des neuen Studioalbums der Band, das für nächstes Jahr in Arbeit ist.
