Diese Neuigkeit hat sich lange „zusammengebraut“ – man verzeihe das Wortspiel. Bierkenner werden sich freuen zu hören, dass die Landbrauerei Tobias Mohrmann auch in diesem Jahr wieder den mittlerweile traditionellen Begrüßungsdrink für die Prophetic Overture am Donnerstag beisteuert.
Das Prophecy Fest und die lokale Craft-Beer-Brauerei haben sich dazu entschlossen, ihre beliebte Zusammenarbeit fortzusetzen.
Die Prophetic Overture ist ein entspanntes Beisammensein, das die Veranstaltung am Donnerstagnachmittag mit Grillfeuern, Live-Musik und ein oder zwei Begrüßungsgetränken aufs Haus einläutet. Besucher dürfen zu diesem Anlass gerne eigene Speisen und Getränke mitbringen. Um den Begrüßungsdrink zu erhalten, müssen Besucher ihr Festival-Armband vorzeigen.
Braumeister Tobias Mohrmann hat sich erneut mit Markus Stock – dem Kopf hinter Empyrium und The Vision Bleak – zusammengetan, um ein spezielles Festival-Bier zu kreieren.
„This year’s collaboration with Markus has resulted in a Belgian-style witbier“, verrät Tobias Mohrmann. „The Witty Owl is a light, top-fermented beer with hints of orange and coriander. It has a fresh and citrusy aroma, with sweet orange notes accompanied by a slightly spicy hint of herbs. The flavour is light and tangy, with a balanced combination of sweet orange and the almost peppery taste of coriander.“ Auch bei unseren westlichen Nachbarn hat sich der Brauer inspirieren lassen: „I have chosen a classic Belgian blonde that is also a crisp, top-fermented beer brewed with Pilsner malt“, fügt er hinzu. „It brings fruity notes, with hints of banana and pear, accompanied by a slightly spicy yeast character and a mild malty sweetness. The taste profile is full-bodied, with balanced sweetness and a dry finish.“
