Municipial Waste: begeben sich diese Woche auf »Wrecking Europe 2019 Tour«!

Anfang des Jahres waren die Richmond, VA-Thrasher Municipial Waste zuletzt als Teil der »EMP Persistence Tour 2019« auf europäischen Bühnen zu sehen. Nun wird die Band mit ihrer 18 Shows umfassenden »Wrecking Europe 2019 Tour«, die kommenden Samstag im L’Aéronef, Lille (F) beginnt, zurückkehren, wobei einige Brecher ihres aktuellen Albums »Slime And Punishment« (2017) natürlich nicht in der Setlist fehlen dürfen. Municipial Waste werden in diesem Rahmen jegliche Clubs in Schutt und Asche legen, aber auch die Bühnen prestigeträchtiger Festivals wie des Download UK, Graspop Metal Meeting, Copenhell und Hellfest in Angriff nehmen. »Slime And Punishment« ist das erste Waste-Album, das von ihrem Bassisten Phil „Landphil“ Hall in den Blaze Of Torment Studios in Richmond, VA aufgenommen worden ist. Mix und Mastering übernahmBill Metoyer (u.a. Slayer, W.A.S.P., Lizzy Borden, Dark Angel) in Hollywood, CA. Das Coverartwork für ihr sechstes Album stammt von Andrei Bouzikov, einem guten Freund der Band. So ist es bereits das vierte Mal, dass Andrei für sie gearbeitet hat, war er doch schon für die Artworks von »Massive Aggressive« und »The Art Of Partying« sowie das ihrer Split mit TOXIC HOLOCAUST, »Toxic Waste«, verantwortlich.

Mit »Slime And Punishment« konnte die Band in den USA #3 der Billboard Top New Artist/Heatseekers-Charts, #5 der Current Hard Music Albums-Charts, #9 der Independent Albums-Charts und #44 der Top Current Albums-Charts belegen. Außerdem landete sie in Kanada auf #75 derHard Music-Charts sowie #180 der Top Current Albums-Charts.
