Time For Metal / Maddin:
Hi, or „Hola“, Trash Amigos! Thank you for taking the time to answer us a few questions about the project Trash Amigos. Did the „H“ for „Thrash“ just get lost, or why did you choose exactly this name for your band?

Trash Amigos:
Hey compadres! …Yeah! We just forgot to put in the bloody H! Ha ha!
We were actually thinking of which of them to use! But as we are filthy bastards we thought „Trash“ suits us better!…and we’re old metal-bros and freaks of mexican outfits and Tequila, so we added „Amigos“!

Time For Metal / Maddin:
Trash Amigos was formed in the beginning 2009 to play music in the style of 80’s Thrash Metal. Why did you choose this very special type of music? Did anyone of you play in other bands before?

Trash Amigos:
We’re rather old Locos with our roots in the 80’s death and thrash metal. In our opinion the period when the best and the most important albums was written. We´re talking about ikons like Hell AwaitsPleasure to killDarkness DecendsBonded By BloodBeneath the remains,Illusions, …who made them? I´ll guess we´re all familiar with the masters!!…..that´s the style we got branded in our souls since those days and wanted to tribute in our own but nevertheless a kind of new way through „Trash Amigos“
The Bands we use to appear in earlier: MercilessBorn Of FireDia PsalmaHarms Way,Death Breath (El Guero during Live shows) and a couple of more ones!

Time For Metal / Maddin:
You just released your debut album Hijos De La Chingada, which really sounds like a Tribute soSlayer and other 80’s Thrash Metal-bands with some mexican influences. Would you please tell us why you’ve chosen especially this – rather explicit – title for your album?

Trash Amigos:
First of all, we wanted something that was different, but also went hand in hand with our outfits and dirty approach!…The title can be translated or interpret in many ways: from like „what the fuck“ to something like “ Children from hell“

Time For Metal / Maddin:
Hijos De La Chingada was released via War Anthem Records. Are you fully satisfied with how the product came out? How is the feedback for your album so far?

Trash Amigos:
We´re happy about how the record has been received so far…a lot of good reviews and feedback!… esp in mighty metal Germany of course!!

Time For Metal / Maddin:
Of course, the first thing, a listener finds out about an album, is the artwork. Compared to other bands, your cover is relatively simple and just shows the Amigos in a typical, mexican ambience. Why did you choose this picture as your cover?

Trash Amigos:
Well, We´re very proud of the artworks created by „E“ Watain. I had some drafts ideas for the cover which he devoloped into this awesome artwork! I wanted to have a desert in moonlight, something mysterious in the same vibe like Bark At The Moon …in my opinion I don´t think it´s simple!… But! thing is… there was a failure in the printing process that resulted in the cover came out way to dark!…we hope they´ll make it for the next printing!

Time For Metal / Maddin:
In my review, I described the style of the Trash Amigos as something between Slayer,Metallica and Kreator. How would you describe your style?

Trash Amigos:
Can´t say you´re wrong amigo, BUT! I think you can hear more of Merciless than Metallicaactually…a lot of people think there´re elements of death metal aswell!….and yes we might´ve heard of a band called „slyers“ or something!

Time For Metal / Maddin:
Have there ever been thoughts about cancelling the project Trash Amigos until now?

Trash Amigos:
No man!…this is a damned serious project!…It´s only just begun and the „Riders of doom“ will keep on searching for new souls to steal!

Time For Metal / Maddin:
Many people use the internet to find out about new bands and releases. Would you please tell our readers where they can find you?

Trash Amigos:
Yepp, of course! CHECK TRASH AMIGOS OUT AT: http://www.facebook.com/trashamigos

Time For Metal / Maddin:
Speaking about the internet in todays society… What do you think about illegal sharing of music?

Trash Amigos:
We´re all guilty of doing that more or less I think. It´s for sure harder for us bands and labels to sell physical records this days but on the other hand the live shows seems to attract more and more people as the online accessibility grows!

Time For Metal / Maddin:
What are your plans for the future? Are there any live performances planned in Europe / Germany?

Trash Amigos:
We´ve been invited to play the Party-San Festival 2012, which is a killer fest!… been there playing with Merciless and Unanimated before so I know it´s gonna be fargin good!…if we´re lucky there might be some more shows in Europe around that time!

Time For Metal / Maddin:
Thank you for investing your time in this interview. I’m wishing you all the best for your future plans and since the pictures on your Facebook-page look like a lot of fun, I’m looking forward to see you live one day! Do you have any last words for your fans and our readers?

Trash Amigos:
Muchas Gracias to you too and thanks a bunch for interviewing us!… TRASH AMIGOS really hope we can give you some live shows asap and down some tequila with all you guys who appreciates our philosophy of TRASH METAL!
