Das Death-Metal-Trio Necrot aus Oakland hat offiziell bei Metal Blade Records unterschrieben und damit ein neues, vielversprechendes Kapitel für eine der renommiertesten Death-Metal-Bands der Underground-Szene aufgeschlagen. Die Vertragsunterzeichnung fällt mit dem bevorstehenden Auftritt der Band auf der Decibel Magazine Tour 2026 zusammen.
Die Band kommentiert: „It is extremely exciting to announce that Necrot has signed with Metal Blade Records! We’ve been a band for 15 years making Death Metal the way we want to and Metal Blade has been here for almost 45 years supporting extreme metal bands from all over the world. Necrot sind bei der Decibel Magazine Tour 2026 dabei und schließen sich den Technical-Death-Metal-Pionieren Cryptopsy, den italienischen Brutal-Death-Metallern Fulci und den neuen Death/Grind-Metal-Bands Blood Monolith, um eine mitreißende Tournee durch Nordamerika zu absolvieren.
Necrot wurde 2011 in Oakland, Kalifornien, gegründet und besteht aus ehemaligen Mitgliedern der Bay-Area-Bands Acephalix, Vastuma und Saviours. Sie tourten bereits mit Bands wie Cannibal Corpse, Carcass, Municipal Waste und vielen anderen um die Welt und etablierten sich fest in der modernen Metal-Szene.
