Die Norwegische Progressive Metal Band Rendezvous Point legt mit Digital Waste die dritte Single aus dem neuen Studioalbum Universal Chaos vor. In den letzten Jahren konnte sich das Quintett um Leprous Schlagzeuger Baard Kolstad durch Ihre tighten energiegeladenen Performances auf Europatouren mit Haken, Leprous und Long Distance Calling eine treue Fangemeinde erspielen. Mit Universal Chaos erscheint am 24.05. das zweite Studioalbum der Band.

„This one came about when I (Petter) originaly had written a song with the first riff, but when when I introduced it to the band, we started jamming on the riff and it just spun off in another direction. Baard had some really cool ideas and variations that we played around with, and Nicolay suggested the idea that what if we just kept going with one note in the chorus and just kept it boiling. And it turned out pretty cool. We ended up arranging this song all together on band practice. We also felt pretty stoked about, having tons of energy and a rawness to it.“

Das Material auf Universal Chaos überzeugt mit starkem Songwriting und zeigt eine hochtalentierte Band, die sich in den vergangenen Jahren noch einmal deutlich weiterentwickelt hat. Treibendes Schlagzeug, grollende Bässe, raue Gitarren und große Synthflächen vereinen sich mit kräftigem Gesang um gemeinsam die Grenzen des Progressive Metal Genres auszuloten. Das Ergebnis ist ein verspieltes Klangerlebnis voller versteckter Details.
