Die neue EP ist die Fortsetzung von Trust Fall (Side A) (2015). Frontmann Brandon Boyd erklärt “Side B is both sonically and thematically different than the previous Side A; it speaks to the potential of an album having distinct creative territories between its first and second half.” Er fährt fort: “If we are attempting to do anything conceptually with our listeners, both old and new, it’s to take them on a ride of sorts.“

“It put so many things in perspective for all of us,” erklärt Brandon. “We hadn’t talked about the impli-cations of the 30 years. You never expect or anticipate to make something that will resonate with a large group of people. There’s the hope and possibility it might, but it was wild to have the excitement echoed back to us every night. We were excited to enter into a new chapter.“
