Die Hardcore Band TURNSTILE aus Baltimore veröffentliches ihr zweites Album „Time & Space“ über Roadrunner Records.
Die Platte wurde von Will Yip im Studio 4 aufgenommen und produziert. Yip war auch schon für das letzte Album von Code Orange zusatändig und hat mit Bands wie La Dispute und Pianos Become The Teeth zusammengearbeitet. Es ist das zweite Album nach ihrem Debüt „Nonstop Feeling“, welches hohe Wellen in der Hardcore Szene geschlagen hat.
Im Vorfeld hatte die Band schon die erste Single „Real Thing“ samt Video veröffentlicht. Pitchfork kommentiert dazu: „…the broad appeal of ‘Real Thing’ makes it clear Turnstile are not looking backwards.”
„Time & Space“ hat auch einige interessante Gastbeiträge zu bieten. Sheer Mag´s Tina Halladay veredelt den Song „Moon“ während Diplo beim Song „Right To Be“ an der Produktion mitgeschraubt hat.
Heute an NPR einen weiteren Song präsentiert. Sänger Brendan Yates kommentiert den Song wie folgt: “’Generator’ is about near-death experiences; out-of-body happenings that really open you up to see your true self without the noise of the world.“
